Same IP
So I'm getting my college roommate to play gunrox again, problem is when probably have the same IP since we live in the same room, and use the same internet. Playing with him would be fun, but I don't want mods to ban me because it appears like similar ip.
Any thing from mods/admins?

Same IP alone doesn't make you a criminal. It only makes us watch you more often. So play fair and you have nothing to afraid of.

They are not about to lay down ALL these laws of Gunrox - the idea is to play in the "spirit" of "fair" gameplay. Relax guys, if you dont cheat, then play with your buddies if you want.

i have been cheated many times in that way. one player in my team (i call him "spy") and his brother or whoever in opposing team. thats why i think think 1IP=1team is good idea ;d at least indicate that there is high possibility of fake fight 😁

You do realize that forbidding them to be on different teams prevents them from being able to play each other (1x1) - And I'm sure that the number one reason that this happens is how we recruit new players (until we get some advertising going). So, can we put this subject to rest already!

Looks like it doesn't matter right now, my roommate is still mad at me for killing him many times in a row ☹

orestes: You also need to be aware of the fact that it is VERY common (at least in the country where I live) to have a whole building complex with 1 single public IP. This means that e.g. 500 people (where a lot of them don't know each other in any way) share IP. Another real example is an ISP in my country who a couple of years ago had an ADSL product where all customers in the country using this product shared one IP (I don't hope a lot of ISP's in the world use that lame approach). That meant that maybe 70.000 persons spread out in a whole country would not be able to play against each other if such a rule was applied.

There won't be any blocking for same IP players but probably we will implement notify feature that will let you know which players share same account straight in game lobby.

Don't think many users actually play from same Ip, so it shouldn't be too high a priority - we have so many more important things to do!

Since spying activity increased lately I guess it's an important issue now.
