DELETED	Reply to 8B4LL Those are some great ideas, but it would be hard to catagorize things such as flamethrowers or ninja stars so that a player could add skill points to such. I think Gunrox could benefit from a few more "strategy" weapons, rather then more damage weapons. What is a "strategy" weapon? I would difine it as something that doesn't nessecerily do damage, but instead, provides information that can improve your chances of winning. Some examples may be: "Electro/parimiter fence or mine": Something you could place that wouldn't do damage but would expose X spaces when tripped. (thus giving you a good idea of where your opponents units are. (advantage over regular mine could be that it does not explode when tripped but stays there unless shot, costs less to plant, or is very light to carry) "Flare": Thrown like a grenade, but will give vision when it hits (similar to binocular amount), and take only 4 AP to throw. "Door Jam": Applied to a door, making it cost someone 4 AP to open it instead of 1 AP. "Accessory Belt": If carried on your unit, only takes 1 AP to access your backpack instead of 2. "Bear Trap": Does minimal damage but removes any remaining AP for that round for that unit. "Poison capsule": Can be applied to any weapon to add +5 Poison to it. (takes the place of a scope) "Air Horn": Close-range (1-2 cells), 3 AP to use, 0 dmg, 100% causes them to be disarmed. "Armor-piercing upgrade": Found only in crates? (or maybe won from medals), rare, added to a gun: When shot, takes 5 attrition from armor instead of 1. "Flamethrower": IF YOU DO ADD THIS, i would suggest that flame dmg INCREASES every turn until you drop your armor on the ground, OR, attrition on armor is dmged more and more each turn. (Stop, drop, and roll ☺ ) "Burned" effect would have to be added. Flamethrowers would have to be heavy. FINALLY, one of my favorite ideas: Shrapnal mine, granade, or gun addon? that does minimal dmg but causes someones weight to be affected. (they become burdened faster depending on what they are holding) It would wear off slowly like other effects. New effect: Burdened? STATIONARY OBJECTS THAT AFFECT GAMEPLAY EACH TURN: Watchtower: Would need to be activated like a door, would produce vison for your team, in one direction until activated by your opponent. Turret: This would be a hostile object to all teams. At the end of your turn, if you are within range, it will shoot at you. Many more suggestions here but not sure if this is at all a direction the develpers want to go so i will save the rest of these for another time or another post. _____________________________________ So why all these new ideas? I think these type of improvements are important because: 1) You promote a more diverse squad build - rather then each player making the same for each unit like 3 automatics, or 3 snipers, or 3 "furrys" ☺. 2) You reward more strategy. Many people camp and many people are very careful, with addons like these, you encourage players to go out and set up traps and think through new strategies. 3) Without missions (which i hope will eventually come), you need some new elements that will be fun but not have a LARGE affect on game play, specs, etc. I know many of my suggestions would, but some of them are much more lighthearted.
