New weapon proposal
There have been several attempts to suggest new weapons to Gunrox, ones that, besides being cool, will have their own unique traits and will add to the game's interest.
Well, I think I've got one. It is for high level use and very powerful, yet, as you will see its strengths are balanced by several limitations. And it is unique in nature, unlike any existing weapon.
I call it "Air Strike".
It is operated by using communication gear that will take 12 APs to activate. And a strike square should be chosen anywhere on the map (including ones that are not visible to the striker).
It will have massive base damage and very large hit radius with damage being reduced the further you are from the center (didn't figure out the impact of walls, guess it should be much like grenadesβ¦).
The catch is: as with real air strikes, there is a reasonable miss chance (maybe reduced if skill points are allocated). Miss means that the air strike lands on a different coordinate than the one designated, sometimes hitting your own team rather than the enemy (trust me, this happens in real life more than you care to think βΉ ) . It may be considered that the miss chances are increased the further your designated hit square is from the striker's position. Maybe not.
I would limit the "Air Strike" perk to around 20-25th level.

Well, if you want everybody under level 30 to just shut up I guess that can be arranged....
Maybe I should also stop using the cash shop until I'm level 30? π
But it's not about me, is it? What did you find so offensive about the idea?

1. It's not balanced. If you use it in the start of combat, air strike may kill the most of your enemies... or all of them...
2. Do you think where players will find items to use air strike or buy them? And what items? Just a radio? Rockets and bombs come from nowhere? It's not a good idea...

But it's not about me, is it? What did you find so offensive about the idea? I am not offensive, but it helps if you'll wander around these forums for a while and learn the game better. Imagine if every newcomer will start to post their ideas right away? βΊ
You can ask other veteran players and you will find out that we developers already implemented a lot of ideas that came from players. But they have to be constructive and thought-out.

I am not offensive, but it helps if you'll wander around these forums for a while and learn the game better. Imagine if every newcomer will start to post their ideas right away? βΊ
You can ask other veteran players and you will find out that we developers already implemented a lot of ideas that came from players. But they have to be constructive and thought-out. This is very true. The KOTH game mode came from these forums. It's just not very popular for a few reasons. The same thing with some of the perks. Originally, the weapon mastery perks led to some very odd perks that required weapon mastery perks x10 of two weapons. The problem was that the weapons were like shotgun and pistol and other bad combinations. These forums provided some of the current perks with some at x5 weapon mastery and some at x10 weapon mastery.

worms fan? π
next up will be the homing missle or the bolvine blitz lol just kidding π Yep, he's a worms fan... wonder if he'll ask for the concrete donkey next? π But I do think some of the weapons from that game might just work..... like the clusterbomb. A multi-explosion grenade that does the same damage as a basic hand grenade per explosion hit - only it's unlocked at say... 90 skill points?

although the cluster bomb was a beginners weapon in worms lol π
true i agree some "realistic" weapons from worms might work... the cluster bomb is quite good, just make sure the clusters do like 1/2 or 1/4 dmg then the bomb itself, could be a gap filler for the far future?

But what i want to see is the gap what will be fulled for pistols, shotguns, smg's and assault weapons. I mean weapons for skill 30,50 and 70βΊ
