What is the max map size Gunrox can handle?
Was just wondering if a larger map could be built to accomadate arranged massive battles maybe as big as 10v10. These would have to be arranged by a mod as 5v5 is hard enough to get going but if planned right could be some amazing battles. Then maybe there could be some whole clan v clan battles.

luke that realy masive think about it:
a mega{5vs5}takes from 3 to 5 hours...
now think about 10vs10 or maybe 7vs7
its a great idead but it needs a lot of work and help from the mods of course

yes they would be long, but if played on a weekend as a special event they could be great , like an alternative to the tournys.

Luke, i think that's a fun idea! I think it would be even better if there was more happening on different fronts. Like numerous areas that needed to be "secured" in order to get points.
Think about a KOTH with 6 "areas". 3 for each team. You would need to balance holding your 3 area's as well as assulting the other teams.
Hehe, i dont' mean to become to much like WoW, but just think about a Warsong Glutch? (i think thats the one), where its a constant battle of give and take. (Blacksmith, Lumberyard, Stables, Mines, and...Farm?) ☺ ☺ MUCH more fun then, pile up shoot the other team. (in my opinion)

Yes this should cut down the overall time aswell because u cant run and camp, you have 2 attack and defend..😁 may also bring the usefulness of traps back into play to defend areas or objectives☺☺

I would like to see battles as big as possible, but the time thingy is a pain. Already 5v5s take so long and you can get more xp playing 2x 1v1s, and it takes way less time too.
Really big fights would require some the turn time to be about 30s, and this would in turn require a level of AI to help moving. Imagine if you could just give instructions to your squad while waiting all others to move, and when your turn comes, they would move according to instructions.
I fear the instruction giving window would be too complex to be useable tho.. because it needs some "if-else" actions to enable things like moving forward to spot an enemy, shooting it with other squad and then retreating.
Maybe the only answer to really big fight is to have a "real time" version of gunrox, where all move at same time, that'd be wild 😁

yes Late, 5v5 do take along time, and yes you could probably play 3 1v1 in the amount of time you could a 5x, but the 1v1 are not nearly as fun and exciting. And to play a 10v10 FULL CLAN WAR would be very awsome, and i think we should have 1 small location, that no one can play at, except for a 10v10 clan war, in which it will be regestered ahead of time, and the time will be set and everything. That would be awsome to do.

Yes thats what i mean madd, people spend most of the day on when its a tourny so games like this could work. Maybe an entry fee of an art from each player like the tourny and winning team gets to share them out. It could be every so many weeks in between tournaments. Maybe a battle ground map 60x60 with bunkers and craters. Anyone who would be up for these pls vote and/or post ☺

Another idea would be a 5x5x5x5 Version of KOTH but with the capture area inside a large building so teams would have to get inside to take it or take the odd sniper shot through a window, this would stop teams with all long range weapons owning like on normal KOTH now. Teams would have more chance to hold the KOTH zone by covering entrances or mining doorways and the attackers would need to storm the building with nades and rpgs.

40 second a turn matches would be quicker. 😁 6 mins or more less each round. So would be 13 minutes or less to wait. We already wait 9 mins in normal 5x5 megas with 1 min turns. And if u are sayin a 10v10 with 1min turns would be wait of 20+ mins but there can only be 19mins plus a few seconds between each player. 😎
Also if we played 10v10 on a 60x60 map there would not be that much room so the killing would start very early 😁
and each player out would soon cut down overall round time ☺

yea 6 hours would be really insane, but with a map 60x60 like luke said the killing will start early so the total time of a game will be less then 5 hours and if you get a win with 15 killed units so the exp will be worth the trouble. and 40 secs enough for turn time. or perhaps like it was already suggested, make 1:20 turn time for whole team, but its a little problematic i think.😝
