vintorez and machine guns issues
i recently found two problems which bug me quite a lot in the game.
first, the most problematic- as soon as you reach level 30, machine guns become very weak. the damage from SAW is just a little better than mg4, but it takes 10 AP, which makes the unit like an artilery, though the range isn't that high. it makes the saw unit extremely vaulnarable unless you have bonus AP from perks, and even then other builds are much more rewarding.
at the moment, my machine gun unit is a clear drawback to my build, as if it was just another vintorez unit in example, i'd have much better results.
possible impovements-increase damage and lower AP to at least 9.
anyone else agrees?
another problem is vintorez attrition. atm a new vintorez holds for 2 matches at best, and sometimes even 1 as it's way too much of a risk to start a match with less than 20 attrition vintorez. this made my inventory get filled with 12-19 attrition vintorez which it's too bad to throw away doesn't worth much as trade.

Tier 4 machine guns and above cost 10 AP because they are more accurate - you will rarely see SAW scratching while it is a common issue with earlier machine guns.

mg4:
close accuracy 100%
distant accuracy 90%
S.A.W:
close accuracy 100%
distant accuracy 85%
so...?
how's what you're saying possible?
and even if the saw was more accurate, it still wouldn't mather as at skill 60 mg4 and all other machine guns are as accurate as it gets.

The SAW accuracy should be 10% less than the MG4 - From what I see, the SAW is 5% more accurate than the MG4
Keep in mind that this is relative to your level as well.

Each gun as they go up in tiers (take a look at each) - they go down in accuracy by 10% each. I will use the sniper line as an example...
for a unit with zero points in sniper - irrelevant but I am level 20 right now...
the scout has an 80% accuracy
SVD dragunov 70%
AWM 60%
Vintorez 50%
Barret M90 40%
Do you see a pattern here? Now as you put skill points and perks into sniper the accuracy climbs. But the difference in change to hit with each gun remains constant at 10%
Now if you look at the last of the machine gun (some cannot see it yet) - you will notice a difference in the pattern (5% rather than 10% - means it is actually 5% more accurate). Many people forget to take a look at these stats ☺ All i can say is, make sure you take all things in consideration before you make a judgment about a particular weapon. Each gun was done quite well and are balanced in their own ways...
The general idea for the machine guns, is that they climb by 5% each weapon. Making it a theoretical climb in accuracy by 5%, then 10%, then 15%, then 20% - because they keep climbing in accuracy. Also, remember that there are some "secrets of Gunrox" in the math to some of this. It has taken my several months to learn a few things that I know now... Your turn to uncover them.

even though what you say isn't right(all machine guns drop 5% in accuracy each time, accuracy was never an issue in machine guns.
to summarize: any 30+ who finds machine guns useful and wouldn't reskill if he could please raise your hand up.

A lot of people use SAW, but not many frequent these forums, so you won't prove anything if that's what you are trying to do. Back in the days When I just reached level 30 I've extensively tested SAW and found AP increase noticeable but acceptable.

There's also the damage range to consider as well. As long as you boost that skill - all weapons in the category get boosted, including the ones you can't use yet... and they go up a little faster in most cases!
