First you make it in photoshop Then you have to resize it.
My avatar, i made it for a signature... But since pictures are no longer allowed in signature place. Its now my avatar.

Very well done and thought out nicely. You can use all kinds of picture files, just watch the file extensions - we can only use oh so many.
