Hmm i dont read all post here but such a feature is avaible at the game. The only differences its not a item.
There are turtle and shelter perks. You can use it and stay in open field. A shelterunit have some damagereduction and for every unused Actionpoint the damage-reduction is raised too.

yes i know, but without makeing u angry your answer was kind of wrong. the idea is to have it so it block the shots and u can have your 3 units behind the shield, you can advance, force the other to move and dont get killed.
with turtle 12ap i have received 57 from an svd.... thats not good if u r trying to poush the other... 😎😎😎

it is good but if i have magic armor 66% and shelter =73% +15% = 88%
its too high this wil be hard to kill😉
and if there 20% it will be 93% 😕

lol and if i hack the game and put "superman" im invulnerable also. (superman 100% miss 100% shelter 100% luck 80 points of regeneration)

u r talking of a specific case, of course you can combine magic and stuff but the idea isnt that.
So you can imagine, im shure everyone have seen the movie THE PROFESSIONAL with Jan Reno and Natalie Portman, When they r going inside the apartment, they cant get due to the strategy of LEON, now can u remember how they get in??

Shelter.
whitout magic stuff i got basicly 16% dmg resistance, + armor(20% for swat at the moment)
so i got 36% dmg resistance, if i let my unit at she same place, its another 36%, so i got 72% dmg resistance...
now you will ask YES BUT WHY NO MOVE?
Answer: king of the hill.
