Off of the flamethrower idea:
A strategy for a flamethrower is that it would have a widespread are damage but it does a burn damage similar to poison. I think the burn damage should be low set for the first level version of it. also it would would only give somewhere between 10-15 consistant "burn" damage that doesnt diminish after a turn like poison and can also kill an opponent unlike poison. It should probably require a strong back perk and a "flamethrowers" perk to use.

As we will soon see - Enkord will introduce some new weapons ( yep, only for those with very high skill values...) and mentioned stun and poison ammo. This new ammo idea is just great - it will refresh gameplay, and should not destroy it in any way.
Regarding Gunrox development. IMHO there should be some changes to make this game more "social" - clan chat is a good example of small change, but there should be more ideas about clans - what for, how to use them. We also wait for achievements - that is a move in good direction. Simply advancing next level is not enough any more - it is good that Enkord knows it.
We should think more about game idea and less about new weapon and gameplay changes.
But what is most important ?
More players. Let's spread the word :-)

I would hope they would eventually consider "armor piercing" rounds for certian weapon types. I would think this could be implemented through different ammo rather then through core mechanics.
However, a perk line for "ammo crafter", could be VERY INTERESTING down the road and would hopefully be EASIER to implement then a new gun type. It would require someone to find or trade with others to get correct components to make "special ammo" that could not be bought in stores. Or combine ammo together with a "chance" to make special. (this is a VERY COMMON way for cash stores to function - people buy ammo just to "try" to combine for chance at special) The ammo wouldn't be higher dmg but it would affect other things:
Armor pericing: reduces attrition on armor by 4 per hit instead of 1. I love this idea because it gives lower lvls a chance with higher "well armored" opponent since at higher lvls, armor his HUGE.(this is good for cash shop as well ☺ as armor used up faster)
Hollow point: Adds 5% stun (maybe these could only come in smaller amounts so people would use up stacks quickly)
Ink point: ☺ Adds 5% blind
Refined Bullet: Increases accuracy (less scratches)
Also, a few other suggestions to the "ammo crafter" line. Perk after 5 lvls: gives you the chance to use up less ammo with each shot (instead of 10 in one shot with RPK, maybe only 5) Perk after 10 lvls: Greater chance of special ammo chance when combining.
Similar perklines could be considered such as "Gunsmith", which would give smaller bonuses to guns when you attach equipment such as silencers (instead of 10% crit bonus, it would have 12%) After 5 lvls: you could give "Gunsmith" the ability to combine 2 guns to increase the attrition amount on one. (destroying the first and adding its remaining attrition to the second) After 10 lvls: Gun Maker - would allow you to combine 2 80% attrition guns of teir 1, to make 1 tier 2 gun. (this would NOT have bad affect on store as people will still buy what they need - but would be of interest to everyone)
I think it would be wise to eventually consider some "crafting" perks that give people some new options without having to introduce new gun lines.
Ultimatly, i know you want the game simple. I think that's important. But introducting new perks will keep the game interesting, will challange people to make alt accounts and keep playing rather then get bored and stop playing, and, if done correctly, doesn't need to involved new gun lines with TONS of game mechanic reprogramming.

We considered and actually implemented various ammo types from day one even before beta, but then decided to lock it cause we felt it added no real value while complicating things quite a bit and messing up with ballance.

Hmmm well as long as you know that we are "hungry" for more... Keeping it simple is definately key! But, if we are not adding guns or changing gameplay... there has to be another avenue that this game can move in order to keep things "fresh" - Perhaps you are more willing to reintroduce the bullets now that things are more balanced around here?
PS - the mines are definately what I was talking about "keeping it fresh" - way to go on that!

instead of a new weapon... a new perkline sounds good, maybe even penaltys, like shooting through stuff, like bushes and fences, which decrease accuracy by 10% or so, meaning snipers get even worser shots ☺
another idea i have for improving gameplay... daily log-in bonus, how bout that guys?
similar ideas have been suggested before, but those ideas were like, instant cash bonuses, this "daily log-in bonus" is much different, say, 500E every 24 hrs, this cannotbe saved up, so you have enough cash to get basic equipment for 2 units, not 3, that way its still balanced game, besides i think we all know if even 1 of your units are naked, you have little chance to win against full geared player (unless they are nooooob! lol just kiddin 😁)
if 500E is a bit to much (i dont think it is) make it 300 or 200, still, daily log-in bonuses will be pretty cool thing for gunrox, very helpful to deserters getting their rank back, also helpful for players who are good but got real unlucky game, what do you guys think? ☺
its not march yet, hope those achievements arrive soon! 😁
