Dont worry, rank would only bring problems anyway: the higher rank you have the less people want to play with you.

I believe higher rank means more xp for your opponents - I only find playing people with high rank worth playing.

yes a low rank would get more exp for fighting a higher rank person. And to answer your question, ranks start at battles = 20, 40, 80, 100, 150, 200 + and so forth

I think it was someone 40lvl -ish enkord person who said in ingame chat that rank does not affect xp at all. Maybe I misunderstood.
