as i get know, generaly all weapons have 15% default critical chance, but also there are some oddities like traps and heavymachineguns which all have 20%
vintorez also have 20%, administration told me that this values are not true because critical chance formula is much more complicated, does it mean weapon with 20% critical chance will not always do 5th hit a critical dmg

but explosives are 15% too, u was wrong "all explosive weapons" not give more critical rate
and i guess this is wrong

i dont know the formula how weapons does critical dmg, all i know is that those values like 15% or 20% are not "identical" chance of giving critical dmg, because i try to test it with traps, and not every 5th trap give critical dmg, they give 3rd or 4th hit critical and sometimes only 6th or 7th trap give crit,but iam absolutly sure that almost every trap planted by 2 hands doom unit can do critical

Hmm higher critical chance with explosiv weapons is new for me. Maybe just because the effect of hiting more than one enemy. If you hit 2 or more units your chance for 1 critical is higher as a single snipershoot because there are more independent calculations.
The linked update-news with critical chance based at ap is a very old update (july 2008 was still beta) im not sure about changes since there because all other informations at this update are wrong now.
Significant tests of finding the critcal chance must be along hundreds of games. I'm sure critical hits based at a formula with a random variable.
This means with 10% chance you could have more criticals as with a weapon of 20% because every hit is a new independent calculation. Also a notional weapon with 99% crit-chance could give you 2 successively normal hits. Thats just the meaning of a chance.
So i think just berserker or astor could answer here. But im not sure if they lift this secret about the chance of every single weapons.
BTW.: Im surprised about Folder: GUNROX\data\prototype\stuff\weapon
Its a old installation? With current version of gunrox this folder is empty and all changes of last months at a hidden file.

i guess u are correct but why not reveal this information?
i know they just think on money, this a strange way to win money, keep secret about this rates or a big example PERK to make the player "buy resets"
who dont search on faq never will find a way to make a nice build, because perks are revealed along u lvlup, this is stupid
