xp bars and levels
I think it takes way too long to get a level.
Benefits I see if everyone would level up faster:
-it would keep new players addicted longer, as the next level is always pretty close, and easy-ish to reach.
-it would mean more skills and perk points used, and more needs for resets when people notice they did their build wrong, or want to try something totally else when they notice reading the perk list that they could now do a totally new combo with all the perkpoints they have.
downsides I can see:
-it could rock the balance of ingame powers, (not necessarily a bad thing)
-it requires work to do
-it might make people buy less the double xp feature ( I think/hope the need of more skill/perk resets will overcome this )
-what to do with players that reach lvl 40 and 50? (maybe you could raise the bar there or cap the level at 40 if the new weapons are not ready yet. I dont think it so bad if a player or some players reaches the level cap compared to when new player get frustrated and leaves because next level is too far)
I hope I made some sense here.. Its late so I'll add something tomorrow if needed ☺ Anyway my wish is that in average, gunrox population would be about 5 levels higher than they are now.

How would you compensate for those who have already done all the "hard" work? - free levels depending on how far along they were?

I wouldn't, directly. Everyone should keep their current level but it would be easier to get to the next one. The benefit for higher level players is that they get more opponents to play with.

Actually the more exp to level up, the less difference in levels will be and more easier to find opponent.

Yes I noticed that the xp for levels have gone up at least 3 if not 4 times in the last month ☹. Most of these sneaked in without any mention in the update notes. Even one of ur mods commented how hard it is now to level. I mean whats the point of increasing the xp for mega battles if u take this bonus back by increasing xp for levels. Every time I have leveled up the xp has been increased is this just a way of giving the programmers more time because i see no benefit to the game by doing this. Also refering to what bers said about players finding matches easier makes no sense as it will take even longer for players 2 catch up with the higher levels.

That is a good point, I didn't think that. But I fear the high xp requirement frustrates people and makes new players go away. I just want to have more gunrox players and more opponents, but I cant think of any more places to spam about it. Maybe gunrox could buy some ads in some (game related?) english sites to get some new people in.

We've tried traditional advertisement like banners, but I felt like it's not worth the money. Maybe we've tried wrong places but we have slightly different plans on promotion which I prefer not to talk about.

Well Bers, like i said, if you are intrested later in the future, let me know, i can put you in touch with the American Gammer Magizines, that would draw ALLOT of Americans to Rox. And their fee isnt that much at all, i actually got them to advertise my Brothers game he made a long time ago, and it was well worth the money.

As strange as this sounds...
I think this will end up being solved eventually by the "auto-game" feature. (which i know is WAY down the development list) It's a very tricky position to be in because the minute you lower the EXP needed to level, its almsot like you encourage more Fake fighting. ☹ However, this is having a adverse effect on those who play for real.
I heard from two people this week who have logged 100's of games. Neither one of them EXCELLS at Gunrox. (meaning they both have losing records) But they enjoy playing it. The problem is, it took SO long to level to lvl 10, that now they are getting tired of it very fast. They often only earn 100 exp or less when they lose and because they lose so much, they are often naked going into games and are not able to make use of the bonus exp.
I understand that these types of people are not #1 on the list to help, however, there are MANY who love the game but need a tad bit more "incentive" to keep playing as it takes SO long for anything to change when levels are so far apart.
I hope we can eventually get enough players that the "Auto-game" becomes a viable consideration as it would give Enkord the freedom to bump the exp per game or lessen the exp needed to level, without having to worry about the "mega-fakes".
Just some thoughts....

Yeah, along with the auto-matchup system (eventually) - the "locations" can split up into different types of areas...
Auto-matchup queues for 1x1, 2x2, 3x3, etc.
Anyone vs anyone for no xp (default practice room).
Any auto-matchup queues which include odd games like 1x2, 3x1, 4x3, etc.
Tournament room for tournament style play (1x1 and 2x2).
By the time we implement the auto system, we will have more than enough players to fill each room.
